PC to Phone Calls Free on Skype Until Year's End

I’ve been a Skype user for a while. Skype (rhymes with “type”) is a proprietary peer-to-peer Internet telephony (VoIP) network. Basically, it allows you to call people for free using your computer to connect to theirs. See my earlier post.

Now Skype has announced that you can also use your computer to call any landline or cell phone within the US and Canada free until the end of the year. Very nice. Source: Law.com’s Legal Blog Watch
