Milwaukee Bar Association 2019 Law & Technology Conference

In most states, including Wisconsin, an attorney’s duty to keep abreast of changes in the law and its practice now includes “the benefits and risks associated with relevant technology.”  ABA Model Rules of Professional Conduct, Comment 8 and Wisconsin Supreme Court Rule 20:1.1, Comment 8.

A great way to learn about the benefits and risks of legal technology is by attending the Milwaukee Bar Association annual Law & Technology Conference.  The 2019 conference will be held on Friday, November 15th at the Westin Milwaukee.

It looks like a great line up with keynote speakers Bob Ambrogi (Legal Tech & Ethics Expert, LawSites blog), Michael McAndrews (IT & Security Specialist), and Byron Franz (FBI Special Agent). Program topics include:

  • Duty of Technology Practice
  • Legal Analytics
  • Blockchain
  • Cloud storage
  • eDiscovery
  • Dark Web
  • Data Security
  • Social Media
  • Cyber Threats
