Two Law Library Team Members Recognized by UW Madison

University Staff are the backbone of UW Madison campus operations. This includes everyone from library assistants, accountants, steamfitters, painters, translators/interpreters, financial specialists, and many more specialized personnel whose expertise enables students and faculty to conduct their work with efficiency, comfort, and satisfaction.

Each year, UW Madison recognizes select University Staff for their outstanding contributions.  I am very pleased that two UW Law Library staff members were recognized this year.

Eric Taylor received a University Staff Recognition Award for his work as our Acquisitions Assistant. Eric has been an invaluable member of the UW Law Library team since 1989.  Very few people know our collection as well as Eric does and he is always willing to share his knowledge.  He checks-in many of our legal subscriptions which can have multiple parts, different sub-titles, shelved in different areas, and checked in on different records.

Scout Slava-Ross, our Circulation Services Assistant, was also named to the University Staff Recognition Roll of Honor. Scout helps coordinate the operation of the Circulation Desk, including supervising student assistants and completing patron requests and statistics.

It’s a privilege to work with both Eric and Scout.  I’m proud that two of our Law Library team members were honored this year from among the many excellent University Staff on the UW Madison campus.  Several other Law School staff were also named to the Roll of Honor.
